These products are ideally suited on walls in high traffic, high impact areas because of their ability to reduce sound and unwanted acoustics.
Frames attach directly to walls with a Philips head screwdriver and the included Wall-Dog™ screws. Then, the panels and felt inserts securely slide onto the frames with built-in key-locking features. Please check the installation instructions for more information.
Drywall and wood are great without the need for pre-drilling. Attaching frames into concrete, hollow or grout-filled concrete masonry, brick and plaster requires a pre-drilled hole using a 3/16" ANSI bit. (not included)
The included spacer tool has options for two different spacing widths. The smaller width is 2 inches, and the larger width is 4 inches.
Each panel has built-in pegs, and each frame has keyhole openings so you can securely slide the panels into the frames.
The front of the panel is made from US-grown, sustainable, formaldehyde-free Yellow Poplar plywood and winner of the EPA's Presidential Green Chemistry Challenge.
Each panel comes with a .4" thick felt insert to absorb sound.
Spacekit is designed to be easily installed by you with no expertise required! If you're interested in installing large quantities or decorating a commercial space, we can provide a Spacekit on-site specialist to assist with your installation.
Feel free to mix and match your panel designs and felt colors based on seasons or changes to your interior design. It is recommended to change panels every 10 years.
