What can you replace drop ceiling tiles with?
Drop ceiling tiles can be replaced with a number of different types of material. You can replace them with planks, beadboard, drywall, or upgraded ceiling tiles.
How do you install ceiling tiles?

When should I consider replacing my ceiling tiles?
Depending on the activity in the space, we recommend replacing stained or damaged tiles as soon as the repair causing the issue has been resolved. Most drop ceilings benefit from a 10-year refresh while some tiles and panels can last up to 30 years.
What are common reasons for needing ceiling tile replacement?
Leaks in the plenum are the most common. You will see a discoloration on your tile warning you to check for issues and make repairs. Additionally, it’s important to swap out tiles surrounding air vents and lighting, you will see build up over time that typically can’t be wiped off. We also see many commercial spaces refreshing and replacing tiles to modernize their spaces, enhance acoustics, and meet local codes for fire safety and food preparation compliance.
Do I need to replace all of my ceiling tiles or just the damaged ones?
The choice is yours. When planning new construction, we always suggest a few extra cartons for ongoing attic stock in case of stains or damages. If you’re working with an older ceiling and trying to find a match, we can help with that too. If your ceiling is showing age, just replacing a few tiles might be more of an eyesore. What materials are commonly used for replacement ceiling tiles?
Mineral fiber ceiling tiles contain at least 24% recycled materials and some as much as 95%. They also contain renewable and natural materials including starch, perlite, and clay.
Can I replace my ceiling tiles myself or do I need to hire a professional?
Ceiling tile replacement is considered a DIY job. You’ll want to make sure you have a ladder, safety glasses, and any tools you’ll need for cutting borders or spaces for lights and vents.
