**Under Federal Internal Revenue Code 179D, commercial building owners may be able to claim a tax deduction for certain energy efficient commercial building property. TEMPLOK Energy Saving Ceilings may qualify as part of a building’s heating, cooling or ventilation systems.
What is the value of the 179D Deduction? For energy efficient commercial building property (EECBP) or energy efficient commercial building retrofit property (EEBRP***) the deduction for EECBP equals the lesser of the cost of the installed property or up to a maximum of $5.81/sq ft. The deduction amount varies for building placed in service before 2025.
