Tectum® DesignArt® Lines - High NRC Ceilings and Walls

The Ceiling Attenuation Class (CAC) value is the number of decibels the tile can block from leaving or entering a closed room when installed as a drop ceiling. The best ceiling tiles have a CAC of 45, which blocks 45 decibels of sound that hit the tiles surface.

FIRE GUARD means that the product is engineered and tested as part of a fire resistant system, which includes tile, grid and the structure itself. Please check local building codes requirements for your space. The following link will direct you to additional information and support for Armstrong's Fire Resistant ceiling systems.

Fire ratings refer to flame spread and smoke development. Ratings indicate how rapidly flame spreads on one surface as compared to another. The flame spread rating is broken into three categories: Class A, Class B and Class C. Class A products have a flame-spread of 25 or less, and smoke developed of 50 or less. Class C products have a flame-spread of 76-200, and smoke developed of 0-450. Class A products are appropriate in the majority of commercial applications and Class C products are appropriate in most residential applications.

Armstrong products come packaged in cartons to protect and maintain product integrity. Shipping individual or smaller groups of tiles or grid can impact the quality of tile or grid. Kanopi sells solely in carton format because of this reason. BONUS: It's always good to have extra material on hand for accidents or damage over time.

CASTWORKS METAPHORS is made from Glass Fiber Reinforced Gypsum (GFRG), a composite material combining high-strength gypsum with glass fibers to produce lightweight yet durable architectural elements.

Unlike standard gypsum, CASTWORKS METAPHORS offers superior strength, impact resistance, and design flexibility thanks to the addition of glass fibers. It’s also lighter and easier to install, making it ideal for complex shapes and high-performance applications.

Yes. CASTWORKS METAPHORS is highly moldable, allowing for intricate, custom designs including curves, textures, and seamless transitions to match any architectural vision.

Thanks to the embedded glass fibers, CASTWORKS METAPHORS is more resistant to cracking, chipping, and wear than standard gypsum, making it a great option for commercial interiors or public spaces.

SOUNDSCAPES panels are typically made from acoustical fiberglass or polyester core materials and finished with durable fabric or paintable surfaces, depending on the model.

SOUNDSCAPES panels are engineered to deliver high Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) ratings, usually ranging from 0.80 to 1.00, meaning they absorb 80–100% of sound energy that strikes them.

SOUNDSCAPES is ideal for offices, classrooms, lobbies, conference rooms, restaurants, and other spaces where reducing echo and improving speech clarity is important.

Yes, SOUNDSCAPES comes in a variety of shapes such as clouds, canopies, blades, and custom forms. They are available in multiple sizes and colors to match your design needs.

SOUNDSCAPES panels are typically suspended from ceilings using adjustable cables or mounted directly, depending on the product type and desired look.

The panels are engineered to absorb sound and reduce noise levels in open spaces, contributing to better speech intelligibility and a more comfortable acoustic environment.

FELTWORKS is ideal for commercial interiors such as offices, lobbies, conference rooms, educational facilities, and hospitality spaces where both design and sound control are important.

Yes, FELTWORKS comes in a variety of colors, shapes, and sizes, giving designers flexibility to match their aesthetic and acoustic goals.
