This product is measured in NRC (Noise Reduction Coefficient), which is the percentage of how much sound it can absorb. For example, a product with an NRC of .95 will absorb 95% of the sound that strikes it.
Products with sag and humidity resistance maintain a flat, attractive ceiling surface in areas prone to moisture. •Standard: Appropriate for climate-controlled interior spaces. • Better (HUMIGUARD Plus): Ceiling panels with HUMIGUARD Plus performance maintain superior sag resistance and are recommended for areas subject to high humidity, up to but NOT including standing water or outdoor applications. • Best (HUMIGUARD Max): Maintain maximum humidity and sag resistance in areas of 100% humidity and standing water, such as indoor pools and outdoor applications.

Building codes have specific fire performance requirements for materials considered interior finishes based on the flame-spread index and smoke-developed index. The performance criteria is broken into three categories: Class A, Class B, and Class C. Class A materials have a flame-spread index of 25 or less and smoke-developed index of 450 or less. Class B materials have a flame-spread index of 26-75 and smoke-developed index of 450 or less. Class C materials have a flame-spread index of 76–200 and smoke-developed index of 450 or less. Class A materials are appropriate in many commercial applications and Class C (or better) materials are appropriate in many residential applications. It is recommended to change ceiling tiles out every 10 years. We have a 10-year warranty on most ceiling tiles. You can always patch and match a few tiles in the interim to transform any space or fix damages.
To find replacement tiles, you will need to find the item number of your current tiles. You can do that by removing the ceiling tile and flipping it over. Once you do that, locate the item # on the back of the tile. Enter the item number on our ceiling replacement page to get your match.
Dust and loose dirt may easily be removed by light brushing or with a vacuum cleaner. The best attachments to use are the ones for cleaning upholstery or walls. Make sure to clean in one direction only to prevent rubbing dust into the surface of the ceiling.
After loose dust has been removed, other marks can be easily erased with an ordinary eraser. Although, a fresh wall cleaner may be preferred.
Mineral fiber ceilings may be cleaned with a moist cloth or a sponge dampened in water containing mild soap. The sponge should contain as little water as possible. After washing, the soapy film should be wiped off with a cloth or sponge slightly dampened in clean water.

The Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) value is the % of sound that can be absorbed by that tile. The best NRC ceiling tiles can absorb up to 95% of sound. Example: An NRC of .95 can absorb 95% of the sound that strikes the tiles surface.
The Ceiling Attenuation Class (CAC) value is the number of decibels the tile can block from leaving or entering a closed room when installed as a drop ceiling. The best ceiling tiles have a CAC of 45, which blocks 45 decibels of sound that hit the tiles surface.
