Acoustical Ceiling Tile Project

Christ Alone Fellowship is a peaceful but bustling place filled with community. However, simultaneous activities on multiple levels of the church made for loud, distracting spaces, proving it difficult to worship.

With a drywall finish on their basement ceiling, sounds from the daycare and Sunday School spaces were echoing, reverberating, and traveling to other areas of the church. When searching for a solution to reduce noise, Christ Alone Fellowship looked online and found Kanopi by Armstrong World Industries.

Research began for Christ Alone Fellowship online, but with a wide variety of options, they ended up connecting with a Kanopi team member to narrow-in on their ceiling solution choices.

Once the needs of the church were assessed, information about acoustics and appropriate ceiling options were provided. The final product was selected based on excellent noise reduction, sound-blocking features, and a smooth finish.

The renovation of the church’s lower level included the direct application of 30 cartons of LYRA PB Direct Apply 24” x 24” squares. The installation was performed by a group of church volunteers.
