Sound Absorption

This product is measured in NRC (Noise Reduction Coefficient), which is the percentage of how much sound it can absorb. For example, a product with an NRC of .95 will absorb 95% of the sound that strikes it.

Fire Rating: Class B

Building codes have specific fire performance requirements for materials considered interior finishes based on the flame-spread index and smoke-developed index. The performance criteria is broken into three categories: Class A, Class B, and Class C. Class A materials have a flame-spread index of 25 or less and smoke-developed index of 450 or less. Class B materials have a flame-spread index of 26-75 and smoke-developed index of 450 or less. Class C materials have a flame-spread index of 76–200 and smoke-developed index of 450 or less. Class A materials are appropriate in many commercial applications and Class C (or better) materials are appropriate in many residential applications. Contact your local code official for additional requirements concerning mechanical and sprinkler use.

What is architectural resin?

Architectural resin wall panels are an ecological building material that has viscosity, clarity, resistance to chemicals, and fire resistance.

What is the difference between partitions and acoustical walls?

Partition walls divide open spaces but support no weight. Many colors and finishes are available.

Acoustical walls attach to the existing walls, at least 7 ft. high, with the intent of absorbing noise within the space.

Do I need a grid for the acoustical wall panels?

No. Acoustical wall panels are attached directly to the wall. Please check your products specific installation instructions for details.

Where can I install partitions and wall panels?

Wall partitions are typically used in open offices or big rooms to create smaller sections.

Wall panels can be used on any wall and hung at least 7 feet from the ground. Be sure to reference the specific use cases for each product.

WOODHAVEN Wall Planks can be installed vertically or horizontally on any wall in a residential space.

How do you install wall panels?

WOODHAVEN planks can be installed vertically or horizontally using construction adhesive or the included wall clips. Follow the adhesive manufacturer's recommendations for surface preparation and application rate. Use painter's tape if necessary to hold planks in place until the adhesive sets up.

Acoustical wall panels are installed in a variety of methods - check your products specific installation instructions for details.

Partitions or room dividers are installed with a hanging kit.

Is there a difference between WOODHAVEN wall panels and WOODHAVEN ceiling panels?

No. However, our WOODHAVEN wall products can also be used on ceilings. Not all WOODHAVEN ceiling planks can be used on walls.

Will the wall panels aid in sound control like the ceiling panels?

Yes and no. The product you choose will dictate the sound control. We have wall panels designed to absorb sound and we also have wall panels that are designed to add style to a space.

How can I clean partitions and wall panels?

It is recommended that only clear mild detergent cleaners be used, as dyed liquids can permanently discolor the finish of some wall panels. Cleaning is only recommended for the finished face of the wall panel.

Mineral fiber and fiberglass wall panels should never be soaked in water or other liquids.

What is FIRE GUARD and how is it different than a product's fire rating?

FIRE GUARD means that the product is engineered and tested as part of a fire resistant system, which includes tile, grid and the structure itself.
